Visit the quiet, scenic and historic rural town of
Batesburg-Leesville. You'll not only bike through
the pretty downtown area, but also visit the lovely
wildflower-lined (in spring & summer) rolling hills
just outside of town. This ride is mostly asphalt-
-with one short 0.7 mile dirt/gravel road section.-
-This route also encourages exploration of the town's-
-side streets; you're likely to extend your ride!-

Difficulty: Moderate; only due to some long, steep hills.
Distance: 10.6 miles, round-trip.
Time: 60 - 75 minutes.
Ride Surface: Asphalt, one short dirt road section.
Bike Type: Any bike will work just fine. Road or hybrid bikes will work best.

Where to Park: Park in historic and scenic downtown Batesburg-Leesville. N. Oak Street is

Restrooms: There are a few convenient stores in downtown Batesburg-Leesville.
Precautions: Traffic is light on most of the rural roads outside of downtown Batesburg-Leesville. There's a
short 0.7 mile section on HWY-391/Willis Street. Traffic could be a little heavier here, but not too bad. It's still recommended to wear bright clothing, use a mirror and blinky light on your bike.
